A calm, friendly and welcoming place offering support so people affected by cancer in Sussex can still live their life. It provides psychological and emotional support though counselling services and complementary therapies in person, online or by phone. The centre is still open during the current lockdown, but therapies and group activities are suspended. They have however created a comprehensive package of online and phone support for during the pandemic.
A support group run by Bright Sparks that is open to anyone affected by a brain tumour, including carers and relatives. They provide useful and practical advice plus peer support and the opportunity to share experiences with others. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Macmillan Centre, but do contact them before attending due to the present climate. However, the charity does offer both online support groups and telephone support groups as an alternative.
Located near Preston Park in Brighton this NHS Trust provide a wide range of services and support for those affected by breast cancer including diagnostic and therapeutic services. Services include benign breast surgery and breast cancer surgery, including breast reconstructions, and they are equipped with the latest mammography equipment. They co-ordinate and manage breast screening for Brighton, Hove and East Sussex. You can make an appointment or speak to someone via the website.
