Sarah Grant is the Macmillan Patient Information and Health and Wellbeing Manager at the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre in Harrogate and tells us more about the help and support available to those living with cancer.

The Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre (SROMC) provides day case cancer treatments and information and supportive health and wellbeing services to patients and families affected by a cancer diagnosis. The Centre offers a relaxed and welcoming reception area where everyone can enjoy a warm drink or simply sit and read a magazine while they wait. Meet and greet volunteers are often available throughout the week to provide a friendly welcome and support.

The Centre is located on the site of Harrogate Hospital accessible off Willaston Crescent via Lancaster Park Road. There is a small carpark to the front of the building or the main hospital carpark is situated in front of the general Hospital entrance. There are a limited number of disabled parking spaces and a drop off zone at the entrance of the SROMC.

We have a wide range of comprehensive and easy to understand information resources to help meet your needs in our Cancer Information and Health and Wellbeing Area. Staff will assist you with your information searching and help to put you in touch with those who can support you in the very best way possible. Resources are free and available to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis or health professionals involved with their care. Information resources in a non-written format and a range of languages are also available; please ask if an alternative version is needed.
