The Living Well Support Group - Aberystwyth

What   The Living Well Support Group is a support group for anyone affected by cancer. The group provides a chance to meet other people affected by cancer and a place to talk, listen and support one another. It is also a place to eat cake, drink tea and have fun!

Where   Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month between 10-12 at Plascrug leisure centre, Llanbadarn.

Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service - Glangwili Hospital

What    The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support centre offers anyone affected by cancer access to an extensive range of information and support resources. Help includes advice on the practical aspects of living with cancer from finance and benefits support to travel insurance. The Hub can also help with information on health promotion and wellbeing and emotional support services for people affected by cancer, as well as advice on the prevention and detection of cancer.

What   The Specialist Health & Work Service (SHAWS) supports those affected by cancer with any kind of issues relating to work, whether they wish to return to work, give up work or seek new employment. They advise on adjustments to work that help to support a successful return to work. They help clients empower themselves, providing the tools they need to make decisionsSHAWS is comprised of expert practitioners experienced in health & work issues, providing information to clients & employers too.

Hospice at Home GA

What   Hospice at Home Gwynedd and Anglesey is a local community focused charity that cares for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses across Gwynedd and Anglesey. 80% of the work is focused on caring for people in their own homes; they also offer a Day Hospice service, which includes physiotherapy, complementary therapy such as reflexology and reiki, and emotional support services.

Ty Bryngwyn Llanelli Hospice

What   Ty Bryngwyn Hospice is a Centre of Excellence for palliative care services in Carmarthenshire. It provides in-patient palliative care and day treatment services and acts as a base for the Macmillan Nurses, the Bereavement Service and therapies. The Hospice at Home scheme is also centred here as is the equipment stores for home aids.

Skanda Vale Hospice

What   Skanda Vale Hospice offers individualised care to families affected by life-limiting illnesses, including cancer completely free of charge. Services include a Day Hospice, in-patient respite care, holistic therapy, assisted bathing, patient transport, spiritual care, arts and crafts workshops. 

Where  This hospice is located in Llandysul.  There are no geographic restrictions on admissions, but most patients come from the three counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
