What Cancer Care Centre at York Hospital offers psychological and emotional support for patients and families. There is an information service, access to complementary therapies, benefit and welfare advice and hair loss support. The centre can also advise about local support groups designed to help patient and family members cope with initial diagnosis, during treatment and after; as well as hosting ‘Look Good…Feel Better’ skincare and make-up workshops to help combat the visible side-effects of cancer treatment. Where The Cancer Information and Support Service at Scarborough Hospital is located at the main entrance, by the reception and WRVS coffee shop. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm.
