St Catherine’s Hospice – Lancashire
Hospice offering specialist palliative and end of life care for people living with life-shortening conditions. The charity supports people living in their homes and on the inpatient unit at the hospice. Services include pain/symptom management, physiotherapy, a carers' support group, bereavement counselling, and a befriending service. Its Woodside clinic in the hospice grounds treats cancer and non-cancer related lymphoedema. Referral for palliative and end of life care is made by a health or social care professional, and some services such as carer and bereavement support are open to everyone in the community.
