University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) Charity
Charity supporting people living with cancer, their loved ones and staff at four of Birmingham's largest hospitals. It pays for facilities, equipment, research and 'added extras' over and above that which is provided by the NHS. 'Added extras' include toys for children with cancer. Projects funded include a mobile health unit offering eligible men prostate cancer testing and a mobile breast screening unit to test people out in the community. It has a directory of support groups for people to meet others with shared experiences and runs regular fundraising events.
