The Berkshire cancer centre is one of two cancer centres in the Thames Valley area, providing cancer services to people across Berkshire and areas of south Oxfordshire. The centre's vision is to provide care as close to home as possible and delivers care across several sites in the region. In addition the centre is embracing new technologies offering virtual communication for 60% of their patients, Surface Guided Radiotherapy and a range of complementary, holistic and rehabilitation care.
Chemotherapy treatments are delivered at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, Bracknell Health Space, Bracknell, and West Berkshire Community Hospital, Thatcham. Radiotherapy treatments are delivered at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading and Bracknell Health Space, Bracknell.
Anyone who has been affected by a diagnosis of cancer in the catchment area. Referrals can be made via GP and other health care professionals. The Macmillan Cancer information Centre offers a drop in service Monday to Friday for anyone affected by cancer, regardless of where their treatment takes place
