NHS physical activity guidelines – babies, children and adults
Free NHS physical activity guidelines. Physical activity is extremely important to improving and maintaining health, and reducing the risk of many illnesses and conditions. The guidelines provide information on the different types of physical actvity and exercises, the needs at different stages from childhood through to adulthood and old age, how much exercise to do, and how to incorporate exercise and activities into daily life. It links to a variety of programmes such as Couch to 5K, 10 Minute Workouts, 12-week Fitness Plan, Strength and Flexibility Programme and NHS Fitness Studio, which can all be accessed for free.
