For trans and non-binary people, a cancer diagnosis may be difficult due to effects of cancer treatments on gender-affirming hormones and surgeries, hormone treatments on cancer growth and side effects of treatment on sexual function. The service offers appointments with specialists in cancer and gender-affirming care. They can also signpost to talking therapies, peer support and gender services.
