Target Ovarian Cancer is one the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charities. They aim is to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives by driving national awareness campaigns, training GPs, and supporting everyone affected by the disease. If you or someone you love has been affected by ovarian cancer, you’re not alone, and below they explain the different ways in which they can help.

 

 

Support when you need it most

A diagnosis of ovarian cancer can feel overwhelming. That’s why our support services are designed around what people tell us they need most.

With Target Ovarian Cancer, you can:

  • Talk to our specialist nurses who understand ovarian cancer
  • Connect with others who know what you’re going through
  • Access trusted information to help you make informed decisions about treatment and care

Need someone to talk to about ovarian cancer? Our nurse led support line is here for you.

Our specialist nurses have supported thousands of people just like you. They understand what you’re feeling, and they can help you right now. Whether you need practical information, advice, or just a listening ear, we’re here for you.

Our support line is here for anyone affected by ovarian cancer, including family and friends. It’s open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays).

Join our support events

Our programme of digital support events is shaped by you and what you’ve told us you need. These events give you the chance to connect with leading experts and others affected by ovarian cancer.

Our events include:

  • Diet and nutrition
  • Managing fatigue
  • Coping with uncertainty
  • New treatments and clinical trials
  • Yoga and relaxation sessions
  • Virtual coffee mornings and informal chats

You can also find support with our My Next Steps course, specifically designed for those finishing ovarian cancer treatment to take their next steps to physical and emotional recovery.

Connect with others who understand

We know how important connection is after a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Our private Facebook groups offer safe, welcoming spaces where you can connect and share with others:

  • Our Ovarian Cancer Community group is a kind, supportive group for everyone affected by ovarian cancer, including friends and family. 
  • Our In Touch group is a safe and supportive space only for those with an ovarian cancer diagnosis. This is a private community where you can talk honestly and openly about how you’re feeling – and find comfort and understanding from others living with and beyond ovarian cancer.

In person peer support

Join us at our in person peer support groups across England for women with an ovarian cancer diagnosis. These monthly groups offer a space to share experiences, listen, and build lasting connections in a safe, understanding environment.

Groups currently meet in:

  • Leicester
  • Stoke-on-Trent
  • Derby
  • King’s Lynn
  • Leeds
  • Harrogate
  • Blackpool
  • Oldham
  • North London (Bloomsbury)
  • Exeter
  • (New groups coming soon in Doncaster, Northampton, Scarborough and York).
