My business Calmer Self started about 15 years ago, and operates online and in real life. I work with people with cancer, helping them feel empowered, supported and back in control. That is where the majority of my Cancer Coaching begins.
Coaching can lead onto my Wrap Around Programme and also Forward Momentum. Clients not only worry about themselves but also for the people around them, and the Wrap Around Programme gives emotional support, guidance and strength for their loved ones. The Forward Momentum is a programme that offers support for when treatment has ended, yet their recovery is ongoing with getting back to ‘normal’. Clients sometimes feel lost after the massive change from a diagnosis, so together we can create a beautiful path forward with renewed hope and positivity.
My Cancer Coaching is open to all who are concerned about cancer – whether it’s someone with a diagnosis, or who is worried about a family member/friend who is going through cancer and would like support with all the emotions that come with a diagnosis.
I don’t ask for or receive any funding as this is my business.
Because of the pandemic, I took my whole business online which meant I can reach more people, nationally and globally. Prior to the pandemic I was doing real life, and now we are passed the pandemic, I now combine online and real life by facilitating workshops and events.
The most rewarding aspect is the supporting of my clients and taking their fears away and easing their anxieties with the emotional support that they receive from me. Being with them every step of the way from their diagnosis, through their treatment and onto their recovery is the most rewarding as they navigate their path through this.
From my lived experience I know how difficult it can be to ask for help and I also know that taking the first step is the hardest. So, what I say to people is, “Remember you are not alone, to trust me, and I will be with you every step of the way. I will help you ease your worries and let go of your fears.
“I had almost stopped living and Nadine helped me relax and focus on what I want to do with my future. She helped me open up and see life in a positive way again! She gives 100% and goes out of the way to support you.” – Jess
“You helped me reduce the stress related to my health problems and clarified goals going forward.” – Cheryl.
Just me!
Since my breast cancer diagnosis, and the experience that I have learnt so much from, I am passionate about helping ease the fear and anxiety that comes with every stage of a diagnosis from the testing, through the treatment and even the anxiety that comes up as we reach recovery. I was lucky that I had my trusted Calmer Self Method to lean into and I want to give that ‘Toolbox’ to others.
Understanding, Supporting, Calming.
