
Living with Secondary Breast Cancer – Breast Cancer Now
Monthly group for people living with secondary breast cancer. Facilitated by a trained counsellor, it offers the chance to meet people who understand. Meeting in person on the second Wednesday of the month at 11am, with expert speaker sessions every three months. Contact for more information and register to attend.
Prostate Scotland – Prostate Football Fans in Training (PFFIT)
Free twelve week healthy living and exercise programme for men affected by prostate cancer. Run by Prostate Scotland charity in partnership with the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) Trust, it aims to help men build their knowledge of exercise, diet and nutrition, with the guidance tailored individually to each participant. In 2026, it will run in three locations: Killie, Aberdeen and Dundee.
Maggie’s Centre is located at the Elizabeth Montgomerie Building Aberdeen Royal Infirmary providing information, activities plus a space to meet and share experiences with others affected by cancer. Services include regular support groups covering different subjects, welfare and benefits advice, wellbeing workshops and complementary therapies. People are encouraged to drop in for a chat.
Charity for children and young people who have been affected by loss and bereavement. It offers free and confidential support, on a one to one and group basis, to help the child or young person explore and understand their emotions, and develop coping strategies.
A local Aberdeen charity set up to help support children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. Charlie House organises activities and projects to enable families to gain confidence, engage socially, enjoy activities together, meet others in a similar situation, share information and to get emotional and practical support when they need it most.
Support service providing help to people living with cancer and their loved ones and carers. It offers free emotional and social support including complementary and relaxation therapies, counselling, support groups, health walks and healthy eating workshops.
Urological Cancer Charity (UCAN)
Charity raising awareness of urological cancers and providing support to people who are affected by urological cancer and their loved ones. There is a buddy network with peer to peer support sharing experiences either face to face or over the phone.
