St Neot’s Acorn Cancer Support Group
Charity offering friendship and support to people affected by cancer including loved ones and carers. It meets in person on the first Wednesday of the month, 10.30am to 12.30pm, for chat and friendship with light refreshments. Therapy sessions are provided on request by trained and qualified professionals. The charity also sends out a monthly member’s newsletter, organises outings and events and sets up sub groups for those with particular interests they wish to share or be involved in. Heartburn Cancer UK Support Group
Support group for people living with persistent heartburn, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), Barrett’s or oesophageal cancer. It raises awareness of the early symptoms of Barrett’s oesophagus and oesophageal cancer, and offers the chance to meet others with shared experiences, in person and online. Support service for anyone up to the age of 29 years living with cancer, including children and young adults, and their loved ones. It offers free counselling, an online mental health and wellbeing programme, and runs a monthly support group. For more information, see website.
Charity supporting families affected by childhood cancer. It provides financial support and grants for mental health services, such as counselling, psychotherapy and play therapy. Families choose an accredited therapist that best suits their needs and the charity pays the therapist directly. Its parent/carer face to face support group meets on the first Tuesday (evening) of every month in Brampton, with regular family events.
