Support and information centre supporting those living with cancer through diagnosis, their cancer treatment and beyond. Services include a wig clinic, complementary therapies, travel insurance advice, fatigue support and more. The centre also signposts people to benefits support, health and wellbeing events, counselling and psychological services.
Part of a national chain of help centres that provides information, practical help, activities and a space to meet and share experiences with others. Services include support groups, welfare and benefits advice, wellbeing workshops and complementary therapies. It’s a non-clinical place, where anyone affected by cancer can just sit and relax, talk with professionals or join in with the group activities available.
Brain Tumour Support – Herefordshire Group
Charity providing support sessions for anyone affected by a brain tumour. These sessions are a place for people to meet others with shared experiences. The charity overall provides one-to-one and group support, online and telephone support and specialist counselling. Call or email for more details about the online meet ups and to secure a place.
In person support group for women considering, facing or going through breast reconstruction surgery, meeting monthly on a Saturday, 10.30am to 12pm. Please check the website for meeting dates. Connect with others, access information and practical advice for pre and post-op recovery. All welcome including friend, family member or partner.
Charlie’s Cancer Support and Therapy Centre
Centre for people affected by cancer, including loved ones and carers. It offers complementary therapies, exercises and emotional and bereavement support, together with activities for children and young people. Therapies can also be offered in the home.
Hospice for people who are living with a life-limiting condition and their loved ones and carers. It offers palliative and end of life care including physiotherapy, occupational and complementary therapy and bereavement/emotional support. It also offers access to a 24/7 patient helpline which provides advice on symptoms and nursing care.
