
Get It Off Your Chest – Peer support group for people who are going through, or have been through, breast cancer and those with BRCA or other inherited gene variant. It aims to offer an informal, safe space to meet and connect with others with shared experiences. Led by The Primrose Foundation charity trustees and meeting monthly, at different Plymouth venues, on week day evenings.
Dance For Life Devon – Dance class for those living with or who have been affected by cancer. Classes are designed to be gentle to help you re-energise, reconnect with your body, and move freely within a supportive group. You’ll be guided throughout the session to move as little or as much as feels right for you.
Improving Lives Plymouth Young Adult Carer Support Group – Support group for young adult carers who are caring for a loved one on an unpaid basis. Meet others with shared experiences and get support and information.
Cake & Cuppa Cancer Support Cafe – Peer support group for adults affected by cancer, including loved ones and carers. Meet others with shared experiences and get access to practical help and support.
Blooming Well Gardening Workshops – Free 6-week gardening programme providing support to people living with and beyond cancer. Runs three times a year. All tools, gloves, seeds and bulbs will be provided and refreshments too.
Creative Roots – Free creative sessions for adults affected by cancer, including loved ones and carers. The aim is to have fun, relax, and meet others with shared experiences while exploring different mediums such as paint, ink and pastels.
Argyle Community Trust – Free walking football sessions for people living with or beyond cancer and their loved ones and carers. Afterwards, attendees can visit a Community Café and Food Larder for free refreshments and access to surplus food.
