Support for Testicular Cancer in the UK | Testicular Cancer Awareness

Around 2,400 men in the UK are diagnosed with testicular cancer. Despite being relatively rare and only accounting for 1% of all male cancers, it is most likely to affect men under 49.
As we come to the end of Testicular Cancer Awareness month, we shine a light at a few of the support services and organisations dedicated to testicular cancer.
Orchid focuses its efforts in three key areas: raising awareness of male cancer, pioneering research into the cancer types and support services for those living with male cancer. They offer a free and comprehensive information service which consists of the National Male Cancer Helpline which is staffed by specialist nurse.
Based in the South West of England, this charity provides support for men with testicular cancer. It provides social events, courses, information, volunteering opportunities, and supports both men and their loved ones at any stage of their cancer journey. The charity is run by a group of testicular cancer survivors with support from specialist NHS staff
Based in the North-West of England, Baggy Trousers is a charity that provides support to people living with testicular cancer by offering financial assistance, education, a support group and practical advice. Their aim is to promote and protect the physical and mental health of those living with testicular cancer.
Based in Norfolk, this support and information service is run by testicular cancer survivors and relatives, with assistance from members of the oncology department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Its services include online information, a ‘buddy’ system for people that have been newly diagnosed, and local health and wellbeing events.
With an online testicular cancer support group and face-time chat for those recently diagnosed, including family and partners, this charity aims to inform and make people aware of testicular cancer. With information and support from diagnosis to treatment, including mental health, diet as well as awareness talks for schools or other organisations
The Robin Cancer Trust raises awareness for ovarian and testicular cancers through events, digital campaigns and educational programmes. The trust also offers support and provides free materials to newly diagnosed young people going through treatment.
